Repair Terms
These terms explain how diagnostics, quotes, repairs, parts, shipping and collections are handled.
GROM TECH LTD provides computer repair, BIOS/firmware services, motherboard repair, refurbished laptop supply and related support. These terms explain how repair work is accepted and managed.
Diagnostics
A diagnostic fee may apply before unknown faults, liquid damage, no-power faults, board-level work or mail-in repairs are assessed. Diagnostic fees cover technician time and are not a guarantee that a repair will be possible.
Quotes And Approval
Where practical, a quote will be provided before parts are ordered or repair work begins. Additional faults found during repair may require a revised quote. Work outside the approved amount will not be carried out without further agreement.
Parts
Parts may be new, refurbished, compatible or used depending on availability, price and suitability. Parts ordered specifically for a customer may require a deposit and may not be returnable if the customer cancels after approval.
Data
Customers are responsible for backing up important data where possible before repair. GROM TECH LTD will take reasonable care but cannot guarantee data preservation during diagnosis, repair, upgrade, firmware work or operating system work.
Mail-In Repairs
Customers should wait for confirmation before sending devices. Inbound shipping is the customer's responsibility. Return shipping is charged separately unless agreed. Tracked and insured services are recommended.
Local Collection And Shipping
Local collection, handover, courier or shipping options are arranged after triage and confirmation. Customers should wait for booking details before travelling or sending a device.
Uncollected Devices
If a device remains unpaid or uncollected after repeated contact attempts, storage charges or disposal may apply after a reasonable notice period. The recommended minimum notice period is 60 days.
Payment
Payment is due before collection, return shipping or handover unless otherwise agreed in writing. Accepted payment methods are confirmed when booking or invoicing.
Consumer Rights
Nothing in these terms affects statutory consumer rights.
